It has been a difficult June.
I don't yet fully understand the importance of wills and trusts, but I'm about to find out first-hand in the next few months.
I am so glad to have the notary profession and community to help guide me for some of my own ups and downs.

Had a signing this morning and the client expressed his gratefulness by saying,
"It's just so convenient."
He didn't have to leave his house. I picked up the documents and mailed them back.

Attended the Together, We Rebuild event at the BeeHive in LA this past weekend as a member of the Helping Hands Notary Network. This group has a hotline and will be offering free notarizations to those affected by the California wildfires

I got married in August. Sent forms to get commission updated as soon as I got my SSN and DL updated. Got my commission back and...my name is spelled wrong. Relatively quick call to the SoS and I'll be getting my updated papers in ~2 weeks!

Had my first "real" signing yesterday. (Was contacted by a signing service). It was 2 acknowledgements, but oh man, did I underestimate how nerves are such a real thing.
I powered through and completed it, but felt so much pressure to get it right.

It has been a long time since I felt so drained on so many levels. A lot of heavy IRL hitting at the same time and it's legit not healthy. I've hit a critical mass of stressors.

This weekend I finally got around to writing and sending the Thank You notes for my first 2 clients.
I had been waiting on some silly stuff I shouldn't have been factoring in.

Attended this year's Level Up Summit w/some of the notary movers and shakers in the this industry. It was an early morning for those of us on the West Coast, but LOVING that I'm getting to hear from people with awesome success stories that I might not otherwise hear

Spent a lot of yesterday listening to the CNTDA training from Notary Coach and attended Laura Biewer's Inner Circle call this morning. While not quite out in the streets yet (but I AM available!) I will continue to absorb all notary knowledge I can.

I have been very slowly registering on notary sites. Since I don't have my Loan Signing cert(s) yet, many of these sites (Snapdocs) don't seem to consider my profile "complete" without that info.
Feels oddly like, if I don't have All The Things, what I do have/can do isn't quite good enough. :/
