forgot to post this yesterday but this is how i imagine the dynamic being

both know that not a single person was making it out of there alive. that's why jaiden didn't bother bringing attention to anyone else, & why jacob didn't hesitate to follow her with no regards to others. if they didn't leave at that very moment, they'd be as gone as the rest of them. look @ my art
