About once a month, a book from my #tbr pile will bring me to tears. This time it was LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL by @armyvet5.bsky.social. Whew! I wasn't ready for the feels even as I knew where the story was heading.

The illustrations by @mollymendoza.bsky.social are stunning.

On the way to school, my kids check this little creek every time.

For the first couple of years it was always dry, so now they “make sure” it still has water. I hope they never grow out of noticing the world around them. ❤️

HHM23 Day 27- @FEWorksbiz's PEDRO & DANIEL is the kind of novel that you devour, then sit, gutted and blinking. A gorgeously written tale of two Mexican-American brothers growing in Ohio in brutal conditions, and how their bond pulls them through.
