In fact a major criticism he'd get from his own party was that he didn't get on camera and brag about those things he did for people. He seemed to think the policy would speak for itself. A sort of beautiful naivety about American intelligence.

THIS. YES. a Dem taking decisive action that directly spares his constituents from harm. No policy is 100% perfect. But we just have to do the things that are doable and a net good.

It's been three months since I was vacationing in a very small town in Wisconsin and witnessed how rural local news stations cover Trump, and I still think about it all the time. People who aren't, say, checking the @atrupar.com feed every day (as I do) are not seeing what Trump has become.

It's inspiring to see progress amidst a fascist takeover. This is resistance. (And as a diverse learner teacher who has had many super cool neurodivergent students, I just love seeing this!)
