Star Trek is a rabbit hole just like Star Wars and probably most Scifi. The one thing about Star Trek and it may seem a little unrealistic at times, it looks to a future where nothing is off the table and those represented are mostly characters of integrity who seek to better themselves and others.

I would definitely agree, but so much of Lower Decks is based on past Star Trek shows. They should have little reminders about where idea showed up first like in comic books.

I think this would be more like mutually assured destruction. There are so many possibilities in this scenario. Anything could happen. This makes me so sad. Before Trump came on the scene and before Putin invaded Ukraine, it seemed we were heading towards a more united planet through internet ties.

I‘m really on the fence about whether he would or would not invade. In his business addled mind I think he might be happy just talking about it until someone gives in. Also, there is the distraction factor, but is he shortsighted enough to actually do it? He clearly is. Who knows?
