Let me guess: Paramount is desperate to buy WB, so they push this movie to premiere on their streaming service to get attention, to show they can handle the merger and be “bigger” than Netflix. I don’t know, it’s a strange theory. Too bad the movie is being dumped at homes.

Say what you want about ‘Elio’ folks, but I think Pixar tried to make a good film, as always. It’s got its moments.

History shouldn’t be rewritten, but I theorized folks are nostalgic for the better parts of the past because this decade has been a mess. It happens to every generation, I think.

I just watched a video essay from Thomas Flight about titled, “Why Does AI Art Feel So Wrong?”, and the fact the artifice is doubling down towards the lack of art might make genuine art - for expression - more valuable.

Exactly! The screening I attended Saturday is one of the livest I’ve been this year, and thank goodness I didn’t regret this last-minute decision.
