Your method of being open by just having a discussion with people if the situation calls for it is i think a better way of approaching it. People will appreciate the respectful nature of it if not for anything else

It doesn’t obviously mean that people to be shameful about it in any way. But i would like to see certain, prominent figures to act more mindfully and less selfishly in public spaces.

Like you mentioned i don’t want my safety to be in peril because of their selfish actions, it doesn’t feel fair

Because of it’s complexity. The artist who drew it is very talented and knows their stuff, i just don’t think it works that well as a design currently given that all the details blend together when viewed at a distance
