Picked up some more Perry Miniatures sprues (Spanish Guerrillas) and made some Bandits - one of my previous conversions were incorporated into these (with a new head swap - I love the top hats on the Guerrilla sprue).

Here’s where I got to, after adding battle damage (both painted on and with oil paints) as well as some last minute filters to bring a bit more Sons of Horus Green / Lupercal Green back in. Stopping here with these for now to work on the next batch! #horusheresy #sonsofhorus

3/ Reestablishing the shadow colour after highlights is super important, gives the green some colder hues in the darker area and contrast to the desaturated highlights
Haven’t used decals in years, difficult to pick up again (three attempts!) but with practise I think I’ll get there.

I made another #turnip28 mini, trying out the Wargames Atlantic peasants sprues (not including the head on this one). Pretty good and I like the slings arms in particular! On a 20mm base for context.

My hot take to start the new year - I think modern Chaos Space Marines should look closer to this rather than their current range. Far less visually cluttered, maybe a subtle bit of warped armour here and there though but overall should stick closely to the earlier armour MKs #warhammercommunity

2024 was utterly awful for me this year but at least on the hobby side I got a lot done! Painted 40k Orks, Warmaster Lizardmen, Underworlds, Angmar for MESBG, built and painted a few Turnip28 bits, oh and spent a month just building castle terrain too! To a more hopeful 2025! 🎉 #warhammercommunity

Then it was Emberwatch (Wrack & Ruins) vs Gardeners (Countdown to to Cataclysm), closing fought to a 11-10 result. Slunge was my MVP as managed to upgrade up and hold their own until the very end! Have thoughts on the Rival format after around 8-10 games now… 7/ #warhammerunderworlds #embergard
