Hannigram piece I made for my silkscreen printing class. It’s not something I usually do since it’s partially digital collage, but that was part of the assignment! I’m happy with how it turned out :)

The artwork is partially collage and partially digital drawing. Hannibal Lecter and Will Graham are drawn together conjoined. There is a large, bloody opening in their chest revealing a red heart connected by drippy, gold veins. They are surrounded by red oleanders that get darker the further back they are. There are two halves of a pomegranate; one on each side. Hannibal had deer antlers that go from black to red and Will’s clock is drawn in gold and placed behind him to resemble a halo. All of this is framed within a detailed, golden frame, and on top of the image there is text that reads “You and I have begun to blur. We’re conjoined. I’m curious whether either of us can survive separation.”

Illustration I did for a book cover design/redesign assignment for a class! I did mine based on Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe :)
I think the original book cover is perfect, but it’s one of my favorite books ever so I thought it’d be fun to do something for it :D
There’s a pool with water that transforms into a galaxy. Inside the pool there is a boy leaning against the tiles to look up at the boy sitting at the edge of the pool with his feet in the water. The viewer cannot see the faces of either boy since the page cuts off where the face of the boy in the pool is. Only the lower half of the other boy is visible to the viewer.
