No joke, I just had Notepad break literally half the desktop because it couldn't figure out what the fuck to do, because apparently it needs to arbitrarily re-access the file upon re-focusing the window or some shit !?

both suck ass honestly. if you're in an apartment, one QUALITY AP will cover everything.

if you're in a larger space, invest in running wires to the APs. it is seriously worth it and not that much $$$ comparatively

a true proper mesh system will also use tech like 802.11r which enables fast roaming, just like cell phones use between cell towers. the control devices (APs) are aware of each other, and the client device (phone/tablet/laptop) negotiate active AP and can hop easily

"consumer" mesh devices are almost always just wifi repeaters. there is no true "mesh" about it. they just require double the spectrum, cutting bandwidth in half, increasing latency and error rates, and just generally suck ass hard.

"enterprise" mesh is multiple APs w/ wired back-haul.

UEFI means new features become available, its not just about booting. It is how some of the physical hardware works under the hood, such as interrupts and memory addressing & i/o addressing.

While not a whole lot, these do add a performance boost to the machine.

If the server platform is stable with it, yes. I can't remember if it was the Dell xx20 or Dell xx30 series where support is still only half baked, and it was totally problematic. I do believe on the Dell xx40 generation, things are super rock solid though.

That's really freaggin awesome!!

Been following the discord forever now, but never had a chance to hop into the main location, only checking it out at cons.

Need to find the time to head that way to checkout what you all are up to the rest of the year :)

They're LCDs instead of CRTs though ;p

They also have a focus detect mode which shows high contrasting edges.

There is also a LED on the top of each which can be activated by another panel

This stuff is designed for live video production. Really need and super compact design!
