Cash App isn't available in my country, but thanks! The most accessible platform to receive money internationally in my country is Paypal, so I'm just gonna have to stick with it.

Nice to know, but what good is an app if you can't use it in your country? 🤷

Note that even if you have less "formal' buyer protection if you pay through ko-fi dono, I'll still do my best to give you the best service I could give.

Anyway, I guess starting from 1 Dec, the base price for all of my service (excluding YCH) on VGen will increase to $90 to cover the fee 🙇

My conclusion 👇

Ko-fi
✅ slightly cheaper price (I'm talking $5-15 cheaper)
❌ lesser "formal" buyer protection, communication on different platform (e.g., bluesky dm/email)

VGen
✅ better buyer protection, communication directly on the platform, clear invoice and ToS
❌ higher price

I used to accept commission payment through Ko-fi dono and I personally like it because the cut is only from Paypal, but some people might feel ick buying something using dono system.

So I might open Ko-fi dono commission again for my regulars, and start charging more on VGen 🙇

It's not much different actually...

$72 for a year of gold subs for $0 platform fee, or if you're a free user, 5% cut everytime you receive a payment (same as VGen). But I can't find info for payment processing fee on Ko-fi.

Note that this is for Ko-fi commission, not the dono/donation.
