mint, since my mint plant is fighting for control of my garden with the salvia
mint green with holo foil, fresh pull, wip. these are big sheets of foil, which led to some trapped bubbles that I quite like and are small enough not to affect how they roll

test is delayed, turns out knowing everything that could happen in the human body from conception to death on a molecular level is hard?? anyway part of the delay is that I can take a little breather and then refocus, so perhaps we'll see some polishing happen soon.

okay I'm deeply annoyed with big cartel again and considering moving my shop. I'm very small and don't sell a ton, and frankly kinda hate the duopoly of squarespace and shopify, but it might be time. ughhhhhhhhhhhh. if kofi included integration on your own host that would be ideal. suggestions?

and sometimes you have your own space and mailing list (that you have to have found my site to join anyway) and then the mailing list host folds and then what? social media is critical to the mild success I've had, because it's a place people can consistently see my stuff!
This had been what's bothered me so much about the "just have your own space!" advice, especially in recent days.
You *should* have your own site but someone has to know your space exists to visit.
To ignore social media's role in that is to ignore the habits of people & their content consumption.

On the one hand, I’m appreciating all the conversations about the turning point in social media, and that more people are quitting for more generative spaces like blogs and newsletters. On the other hand, that only works if you have an audience (often built on social media) to follow you there.
