Okay so I knew #julialang is fast, but I didn't realize it was faster-than-data.table fast. In #rstats speed usually involves someone writing some C backend. Has anyone written a Julia backend for an R package?
Came across a great paper walking through the design and benchmarks of the DataFrames.jl package in Julia.

And found the first-ever reference to Tidier.jl in an academic paper!
