Well now, would you look at that? A massive, 4-YEAR-LONG study of NEARLY 30 MILLION people in France found that individuals who received a COVID-19 mRNA vaccine had a 74% LOWER risk of death from severe COVID-19 compared to unvaccinated individuals and ZERO increased risk of all-cause mortality.

Are there any tech savvy people on here that can answer my - probably stupid - question?

I love my old Samsung S3370 phone. It's a small, reasonably dumb 3G phone and it has a proper stereo FM radio (no need to use apps)! Now, they're going to switch off 3G soon, will that radio still work?

So is Abbott basically saying that centre-right conservatives should make a shift further to the right? 🤦
📢 The former prime minister also met privately with US Vice President J.D. Vance during his trip to Washington.

Encountered one of those monsters near my house last year. I screamed internally. If that scream had resulted in a sound, I think they could have heard it at the other side of Cook Strait. Way. too. BIG!

Yeah, nah. The small business I work for is still struggling due to the cost of living crisis; my wages still too low, can't work more hours; still struggling to pay the bills; still at risk of losing my house; insurance premiums still too high.

The current government is still incompetent & racist.

Can't really say what this means without knowing the definition of socialism used for this vote. Many Americans (and others) don't even seem to know the difference between communism, Marxism, socialism and, yes, national-socialism.
US Congress voted 285–98 to condemn "socialism." 88 Democrats joined Republicans, including Hakeem Jeffries.

What they mean by socialism is your access to healthcare, housing, safety regulations, and anything that benefits you instead of the oligarchy. There has been no vote to condemn fascism. #3E

So the parents of children in richer suburbs like Khandallah think their & their children's sleep is more important than that of people in poorer suburbs like Newlands?

I've followed this from the start and the consultation has been thorough and transparent. The reasons for the changes were valid.
📢 A change to flight paths in December 2022 meant fewer departures over Newlands and more over Khandallah and Broadmeadows.

I live in a street with mostly pensioners/older workers. One home owner has already sold their house because they could no longer afford rates & maintenance. Two more houses will soon be for sale for the same reason. I'm struggling myself & so are some of my next-door neighbours.

Thanks Luxon & co!

Fortunately, those cards didn't cost the ABs the win, but geez, I've seen some stupid rugby tonight.

Great game from players like Fabian Holland and Leicester Fainga'anuku; huge impact from Damian McKenzie.

Savea again showing why he shouldn't be the captain.

The All Blacks are playing really dumb rugby. Three stupid, unnecessary yellow cards, giving Scotland the momentum and now possibly the win. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I don't know how accurate the reporting about this is, but if it's true, the Māori Party are on their way to destroy their chances of a successful 2026 election campaign. And I'm sure media like NZH, Stuff and other right-wing owned sites will do everything in their reporting to make that happen.

It wasn't pretty, but that was often due to the officiating.

Good, deserved and very convincing win to the All Blacks, mostly achieved in the second half.

Roe and Jacomb thus far a very underwhelming halves combo. Another Chiefs players (Boshier) also not having a great game.

Havili the positive stand-out in black in this first half.

I hope someone will make some further investigations into this group. For example, I'd like to know whether they are linked to organisations like Destiny Church or other dodgy groups that are keen to indoctrinate our youth.
I cannot express my distain for the law that allows this to happen. It is so destructive, and National should be ashamed they bowed to the whims of David Seymour Over and Over and Over again

Not an exciting game, but still a good win for the All Blacks. Expecting the Springboks to beat the Pumas, that probably means a 2nd place in the Rugby Championship. Not what we wanted, but better than what all those negative people, incl. journos, were predicting.

Tupaea is so much better at 13 tonight than Billy Proctor in previous games.

And Damian McKenzie's radar is off. Jordie Barrett should take over the kicking duties.

Hooper could have seriously injured Jordie Barrett. Justin Marshall should just shut up. Barrett could have ended up injured like Tupaea a few years ago.
