And Chris, Stewie, and Brian decide that Meg's happiness is worth more than 50K, showing genuine love and care for her. All this confirmed for me, that at least for now, and hopefully forever, that the Meg is a punching bag era has officially ended.

They only turn to cruel insults when she becomes so happy she can no longer cry, which she really wants because Carter offered them 50K for her cookies.

The synopsis for the episode was: Meg discovers her tears produce delicious cookies. I’m sure you could guess what they could do with that. But what I feared thankfully did not happen. It was a wholesome episode with her brothers and Brian helping her with a business.

So, the Meg bullying continues but instead of being bothered by it at some point she just stops caring. Well, meaning that it no longer gets to her. She develops a "whatever" sort of attitude to it as seen in season 18's "Better off Meg".

There is small, short-lived satisfaction in the infamous episode "Seahorse seashell party" in which she finally stands up for herself but this is all destroyed when she takes it back, to be a "lightning rod" (idfk, status quo)
