Love this one and thank you for bringing it up here, needs to be remembered. I saw this in the old Cinematek in Paris like a million years ago and parts of it still stick with me.

People need to give Harris more credit here, she is fabulous- between this and Nashville she cemented herself as someone I like to watch.... of course Foster was super- I mean, this, Taxi Driver and Bugsy Malone what an interesting output.

Another of those films that, in hindsight, was prescient. It can be seen as an A.I. cautionary tale and also a reaction to the feminism of the time. Would play well with Stepford Wives.

Hate to say, even as a kid seeing it first run, I thought Tron was a slog...ditto for the sequel.. this one- ugh- I had to see it- long story- it was projected in something called Screen X which made it that much more painful- BUT if you closed your eyes, the music was great.

Such a classic- first watch in cinema I was too terrified to get the humor- but on subsequent viewing the subtle weaving of nihilism with comedy hit all the right places..... and I used to play this cassette nonstop on long car rides.

Now this one- I've been on record here forever in proclaiming my love for this film. I truly find it a fascinating watch in all it's bizarre spectacle. Some amazing imagery and the desire to take the story to another place....Bravo for the BIG SWINGS of cinema... bravo.
