That isolation is a LIE. Seeing and being a part of the rally was like exhaling a breath I didn’t know I was holding. When I arrived, I was hoping that none of my family members would find out I was protesting. When I left, I posted the rally on my instagram knowing my entire family would see it.

Seeing the insane quantity of people made me realize I’m a lot less alone in this fight than I thought I was. I am going forward less ashamed about my views and opinions. I dealt with such crippling fear in regard to my political opinions bc I felt like I was the only one on my side.
