"To hope is to give yourself to the future – and that commitment to the future is what makes the present inhabitable.” — Rebecca Solnit
I'm in Kenmore, Washington (US) today and it looks basically the same.

Kenmore was definitely more people than last time, I don't know how to estimate, but it was very good. The enthusiasm was palpable, and so many cars on the highway honked!

This class was my last final (30yrs ago), I stepped out into gorgeous Seattle sunshine and this solo parent of 2 little ones had graduated. So much strength, hope and joy, so proud of "us" for making it.
The prof's kickass march after him, wow! My tired ass will use this image to keep up my fight.

A week ago my Safeway didn't have the new 2025 vaccine yet. Thank you for posting this, hopefully they do now.
(There was a news item this week that WA/OR/CA are joining together to ensure that we can receive vaccines, but I don't want to count on it.)

I've been driving from Carnation to Woodinville during the sunset and it's gorgeous, indeed.

Please stop saying he was “protesting” as that is misinformation & plays to their narrative. Mayor Baraka & members of Congress were there LEGALLY to visit/inspect the *ILLEGAL* ICE facility that has not allowed any oversight. BTW: NJ law bans immigration detention centers.

I remember it well; it feels like a hundred years have passed since then. Your DARVO and malignant narcissism explanations helped me to understand more clearly some "things" I've dealt with for 40 years now. I'm forever appreciative of the time and knowledge you've shared.

This is beautiful and made my day. It reminded me of trees my grandparents had in their small orchard and yard. The memories are as vivid as yesterday, but the trees have been gone since 1976, cut down for housing development after my grandfather passed away.

$5.09 at Lake Forest Park a few minutes ago. I always get it at Safeway and it seems like it's a lot cheaper than that, though.
