But we have a competitive tennis playing heroine and a hero out for revenge on his dreadful family. It is one of those books where a bit of communication between them would have helped greatly.

I do enjoy Justine Eyre’s narration, so that may have helped my appreciation.

This was a solid romance which I enjoyed.

I’ve heard that the rest of the books in this series are great and as a completionist I wanted to start at the beginning.

Vanessa Riley has woven a great story through real historical events and people.

Highly recommended.

Thank you William Morrow and NetGalley for supplying this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

It's set in the Caribbean in a world of corrupt colonisers, slavery and where women were very much second class citizens.

The story is gripping. Full of action and adventure, this is an epic, covering a period of more than 20 years.

This wasn't for me. I felt as if modern people with modern language had been thrown into Regency era Bath.

The premise, meddling and secrets all seemed a bit immature and annoying.

Thank you Avon and Harper Voyager and NetGalley for supplying this book for review consideration.

I love Monika! She is tough and creative and is not afraid to say her piece.

And this is hot too, okay.

Thank you Montlake and NetGalley for supplying this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own.

While All Superheroes Need PR was not as dark as Stephens’ usual fare, I feel like she's gone back to her roots with All Superheroes Need Photo Ops. Darius is a very unlikeable hero. Morally very dark grey with no end in sight. Check CWs with this one.

She throws aliens into a contemporary setting while referencing people like Aomawa Shields, a Black woman in STEM, and historical events, like the Imjin War. It's like a combo paranormal/ contemporary/ historical romance!

Lucius seems like a bit of a bumbling puppy, but he’s there for Cassandra when it counts and he’s hopelessly in love with her.

The audio narrated by Kate Reading was fantastic fun!

I loved this!

Loretta Chase continues her Difficult Dukes series of starchy heroines and their clueless/useless dukes.

The banter is great, and I loved Cassandra’s delightfully dry put downs.

Loved this book.

The MCs were so sweet with each other. And I loved take-charge Beth going out and solving the mystery.

It was hot, pretty much from the get-go, but so lovely.

Don’t miss the author’s very thorough and illustrated notes on LGBTQ and Black people in regency England.
