Chad and Becky sure as hell aren’t expecting to have to prove their citizenship for little baby Olivia to get citizenship. They’re expecting that this only impacts brown people, when in reality EVERYONE will have new requirements to prove citizenship. Through a process that doesn’t exist yet.

This is absurd. By this standard, if I walk into my local government official’s office once a week and lay $1000 down on her desk, but don’t ask for anything in return, someday when she does something explicitly in my favor there is no corruption? Even though I’ve been buttering her up forever?

Of course but it’s an abuse tactic to punish, then lift most but not all of the punishment, and leave the victim feeling grateful for relief even if the reality is still bad. Just not AS BAD as it could have been.

It’s brilliant and perfect and I’m not ashamed to say that I cried like a baby watching the final Andor episode last night. Just outstanding television, biting social commentary, and inspirational for the rebellion that we find ourselves in today.
