🤍 We had great conversations with members of all parties. I listened to their priorities, including support for neighbors during these difficult times. Other topics included access to affordable childcare, Nebraska’s budget shortfall, and respecting the will of District 4 voters.

We were proud to recently volunteer at Together and I'm sharing a few photos of their amazing operation. It was a good feeling to do our small part to support their mission. The Pantry Manager shared a list of food options for the Omaha metro area and the link will be below:

Please consider monetary contributions to the Food Bank for the Heartland, donating non-perishable food items to Omaha’s Citywide Food Drive, or volunteering at a local organization serving our community.

In 2023, against the caution and advice of Omaha Police Chief Schmaderer, Senator Brad von Gillern voted to pass LB77. The law eliminated permit and training requirements to carry concealed handguns. It also canceled the option for stricter local gun ordinances across Nebraska. /2

All sorts of topics came up. But the repeated votes by Nebraska Legislators to overturn the will of their constituents has been top of mind for Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike. /2
