It was an honor to attend the grand opening of Turtle Books, Brookline’s newest independent bookstore. I was grateful to join the community in celebrating a space dedicated to storytelling and the freedom to read.

I joined the Terezín Music Foundation in honoring Dr. Kevin & Caron Tabb for their extraordinary commitment to education & Holocaust remembrance. TMF’s work preserving the music & stories of composers imprisoned in the Terezín concentration camp is profoundly important - I was honored to join them.

Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting the new site of the Newton Food Pantry — a space that will help expand their vital work supporting families across Newton.
When national food assistance programs face uncertainty, local partnerships like this remind us what community resilience looks like.

This week, I filed a resolution today to rescind old Massachusetts calls for a Constitutional Convention under Article V. This is about protecting the rights and freedoms we all rely on. Thank you to Rep. Alice Peisch for partnering with me in the House.

Today I testified in support of S.1386, An act to transfer Bridgewater State Hospital from the DOC to the Department of Mental Health.

BSH should be managed like the mental health facility it is - where treatment and healing are prioritized, and where residents are treated as patients not inmates.

The Senate has passed the Massachusetts Data Privacy Act — a bill I filed that would give our residents some of the strongest data privacy protections in the nation. Check out some of the features of S.2608 below!

The House and Senate have agreed on new Joint Rules for the 194th General Court! Proud to have led this effort with Rep. Moran to strengthen transparency, improve efficiency, and expand public access across our legislative process.

This morning, I joined Congressman Auchincloss & Rep. Vitolo at The Butcherie to stand in solidarity with the Brookline & Jewish communities following an act of antisemitic vandalism. We must meet this moment with unity, not fear, & work toward a future rooted in safety, dignity, & respect for all.

This week, the Senate adjourned in honor of Katharine “Kitty” Dukakis—born in Brookline and remembered across the Commonwealth as a lifelong advocate. We were honored to be joined by former Gov. Michael Dukakis and their son, John, as we reflected on Kitty’s remarkable legacy.
