I'm autistic. I have the magic diagnosis you are looking for but this whole thing is not cool to me.
There are lots of reasons people can't get a formal dx. Or don't want one. It's expensive, it prevents immigration, it can keep people from medically transitioning, and so many other things. Yuck...
