That seems like an explanation for why they just didn’t keep it open the whole time. (And the FIFA reg says it’s up to the FA.) Why is the window the exact same length as last year? The reason is obviously not the CWC. Also, we don’t have to interpret BBC articles we can just read the regs.

Question. FIFA passed a rule allowing federations to establish an “exceptional additional registration period” ahead of the Club World Cup from 6/1 to 6/10. The release said it would apply to “all affiliated clubs” within a federation. Have USSF or MLS announced anything on this yet?

You could imagine a lot of permutations. Maybe a regular starter, maybe a starter for big games who comes in early in the 2nd half otherwise (to save his legs). Using the team's recent formations, here are possibilities (haven't thought too hard but I like 4 atb here):

Interestingly, the current USL Championship CBA is only guaranteed through the end of this year (notice of termination is due by April 1), but the USL League One CBA is guaranteed through the end of 2027.

MLS has now clarified that fees from a sale "out of MLS" of a DP who cannot be bought down cannot be converted to GAM. Now, however, they are implying that the cash from a DP sale *within* MLS *can* be converted to GAM. My struggle for them to proofread continues. (Unless this is intentional.)
