@cimberti.bsky.social is presenting on the role of copper in cancer, including its potential to predict platinum drug resistance. Her work on radionuclide imaging to study the immunological effects of copper depletion in high-risk neuroblastoma is backed by our Development Fund.

Sending a big hug to all immigrant scientists going back to their adoptive countries after the holidays ❤️! Leaving 🇮🇹 is always the first challenge of the year for me 🥲 but I leave full of gratitude for the moments spent with my loved ones, the mountains and blue sky and (of course) the food! 🧪

Physicist Lise Meitner was born #OTD in 1878. She discovered fission in uranium with Otto Frisch, and was the first person to understand both its mechanics and implications. A thread! (1/n)
