Theres so many genuinely amazing applications for gene editing, we've barely even begun... I just hope companies start pushing ideas like this through the R&D pipeline.

Yeah absolutely- Nightshade intolerances are likely cause by compounds like tomatine in tomatoes and solanine in potatoes. These are produced via the GAME gene family, which drives glycoalkaloid synthesis. CRISPR could easily knockout such genes &/ pathways .. it’s just a matter of doing it
