we’ve been working on securing the run more this past week but there was a part of chicken wire wasn’t zip tied down and we missed it and that’s how the raccoon got in

there had been a gopher snake inside the coop the night before, but we removed him. i think some of the hens were still scared that the snake was still inside the coop and two of them weren’t in the coop when i shut the door last night and i didn’t notice. i’m devastated.

i heard my chicken scream at 1am and rushed outside to see something scurry away with a blob of white feathers. we shooed off the raccoon but it was too late for my nessy girl :(

i had feta in my chickpea pasta last night and that was fine since feta is low fodmap (but chickpea isn’t?? the chickpea was also fine though)
