Tremane Wood is scheduled to be executed in Oklahoma on November 13th.

Lance Shockley is set to be executed tonight in Missouri. Last week, the Missouri Supreme Court denied a stay of execution, and yesterday, Governor Kehoe denied clemency. Shockley maintains his innocence in a case with no forensic evidence linking him to the crime. 1/2

Today we take a look at Arkansas, the state with the 3rd highest incarceration rate in the country.

Edward Wright was wrongfully convicted of murder in 1985 in MA. The only physical evidence against Wright was a shoeprint with blood. The prosecution failed to disclose that a break-in occurred in the apartment when it was still an active crime scene. 1/2

Douglass Haynie was wrongfully convicted in 1993 of a shooting death in Maryland. At trial, firearm examiner Joseph Kopera testified that the bullet from the scene was consistent with the test-fired bullet from the gun in Haynie’s household. 🧵

Charles Flores has been on death row in Texas since 1999 for the shooting death of Betty Black. It’s very likely that Charles is innocent, but he is out of appeals, and in May, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office requested an execution date for Flores.
