I agree. I find that writing pitches help me find the essence or the true story within the story. And if I struggle, it means I don’t have the story well thought out.

My critique group started meeting in person again, and it’s way more motivating. And the conversations flow better. Personal connection is so important.

Yes! Sometimes small bits of writing feel like an accomplishment and can inspire other writing. And switching up what you write also helps.

I can relate to this. I feel like I’ve hit a plateau. Like I’m hitting the ball over the net, but just missing the sweet spot.
I’m trying to think outside the lines and push myself creatively - hoping to get more satisfied with my manuscripts.
