The USAF removed Tuskegee Airmen & Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII from basic training curriculum. For 30 years I promised these women I would not let them ever be forgotten again. The shelter at 1640 W. Walnut St. was one of three migrant shelters opened on the Near West Side in September 2023. All three have since closed.
