Retired from the corporate world, now photographing our beautiful landscapes.
A lesson in planning on Thursday: I wanted to get a long exposure pic of the London Eye at night, picking up movement in the wheel, movement in the water and all the colours. Thursday was good for me to do that but when I got there the wheel was not turning 🥲.
I still had to get the photo though!

September 2024: Point of Ayr lighthouse.
As I waited for the sun to set, a couple and their dog wandered in to 'my' scene.
Initially I was frustrated at the potential of a shot being ruined at the critical moment but actually, as you can see far from running the shot they actually made the shot!

Corpach Shipwreck with Fort William and Ben Nevis in the background.
Arriving, I was the only one there and took some images from further away, then moved to get this perspective. I had been there fa while when I turned round and found some other photogs behind me all taking images with me in them!

The Sentinels at one end of Buttermere in September this year. It seems impossible that was almost 3 months ago!
Anyway, I like the way the reflection of the mountains, frames the rock and yet you can still see through the water to the bottom of the lake!
