The study analysed 27 years of data covering 20,000 monitored #fishing operations. Observations included:
🦭 Porpoise bycatch peaks in spring & autumn but in winter for dolphins & seals
🦭 Keeping gear in the water for longer & using large mesh nets increase risk of bycatch, especially for seals [2/3]

Participants explored 10 interactive stations showcasing CIBBRiNA’s work, including underwater cameras & alternative fishing technologies. One highlight was the launch of our CIBBRiNA edition of the Clean Catch Wildlife ID Guide, paired with a fun & educational bycatch ID quiz. [2/4]
