I would say more for at least 13 and up. There is mention of like a marriage consummation, nothing too detailed and it’s only one scene but I wouldn’t suggest it for an 11 yr old

Yeah I wasn’t expecting it because I’ve never even seen anyone mention the second book. It’s very YA, so no spice(just a kiss). There was one weird part at a ceremony called the becoming, but depending on your niece’s age it’s not that bad. Nothing graphic.
