Two of shafts are clearly passenger shafts, but the third? Services or freight lift?

We've been here before! 🙈

So really the argument for the "initiative" to allow taxis into bus lanes, has evaporated and even when they were permitted into bus lanes around Gt Victoria Street, significant traffic congestion was still observed, clearly it didn't fix the problem! Who'd have thought?!

If the closure of the Boyne Bridge was the cause of all the congestion before Christmas, why has it all suddenly vanished after Xmas? It almost leads you to believe that there were more cars on the road before Xmas than after! 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Some parts were further from the centre of the storm than we were.

Don't come here with facts your destroying the argument! 🙈🤣🤣🤣

You could argue the A6 update from Randalstown to Castledawson took longer 🙈🤣🤣🤣

I'd say the risk of them commencing construction by 2050 and me eating my hat is a pretty low one. That said the terminus of the A5 at Newbuildings will somewhat aid the project. A little like the Narrow water bridge.

Will they build a third road bridge over the Foyle before 2050?

😭😭😭😭

Although the class A and C will be permitted in a few bus lanes around Gt Victoria Street, I can practically guarantee that there will be a significant number of taxi drivers who will take is as a Carte blanche for all bus lanes!

Not until the DfI make a decision and announce it. Then the hard bit needs to happen, how is it funded? Don't forget funding it means, planning application, road improvements, junction changes, vehicles to operate it, depot space review and timetable creation.
December 12, 2024 at 12:22 PM
No that junction improvement scheme is connected to the planning permission for new houses, similar to the improvements at Melough Road.

Your final prediction wasn't too far out from the actual result! 😁

No shareholders rubbing their hands with glee or people scrimping to pay water bills in NI! People scrimping to pay a rates bill, yes, but water bills? No.

So Cllr, according to Cllr Long, you have moved your position that the consultation now needs to happen? You previously said (on X) there was no legal requirement to do so, has this changed?

They program works all the time and then postpone them, Ormeau Road street lights replacement from rhe bridge to the r/about is another example. I agree frustrating is being polite about it!
November 27, 2024 at 10:13 PM
Told you programmed this FY doesn't mean it's going to happen! This is so frustrating there are hundreds of kids crossing this road every day from Rosetta PS, Forge PS, Wellington, St Joseph's and Aquinas.
