What I never could have expected was everything else. I have been genuinely blown away by the reaction from local media, reviewers and friends and family. Something about the book seems to have resonated quite powerfully across the Irish diaspora and beyond.

In 2022, I set myself a goal. Write 500 words a day and see where it led.
What kept me going on nights when the words wouldn’t come was the dream of one day seeing my book on a shelf in Derry.
