Social Democrats
- Increase funding for Family Resource Centres to allow for the optimum core funding levels identified.

Yes Soc Dems. Don’t forget the other stretched streams like Counselling but I’ll take it!

- Make multi-annual
government funding the
default model for the C&V sector.

Nice pt

Sinn Fein
- Increasing funding for family resource centres, men's sheds, community centres, public participation networks and the community services programme

Straight to the point but non-specific. I’ll take it though. Would also welcome increase in CSP (for us that’s meals on wheels).

Labour
- FRCs and Staffing: Labour will increase the minimum core funding for Family Resource Centres, support them in securing their own premises, and enhance the counselling and therapeutic supports they provide.

Now this I can get behind. Fair play Labour for recognising basic needs of FRCs

Green Party
- No specific mention.

Wounded. Very disappointing for a party whose leader has responsibility for the FRC Prog. Though am I surprised considering not a cent was provided in the budget for FRCs?

As a caveat O’Gorman has done more for Early Years than and other Minister before him.

Fianna Fáil-No specific mention.

Very disappointing for the Party who originally created the programme and wrote it into legislation as a grass roots movement to combat child poverty. Side note - Fine Gael removed from legislation and administratively placed under Tusla in 2015).

Fine Gael- Expand FRCs: We will increase the number of Family Resource Centres, while exploring ways to better support non-profit and social enterprise organisations.

Meh. At least we were mentioned as being useful enough to replicate. No mention of targeted funding for existing FRCs.
