The only miss is the true value of the anamorphic: the wider composition while keeping subjects closer. Pure magic. Not easy to master but what a trick. #videomaking #documentary #filmmaking

The anamorphic lens forces you to have the black bars when you desqueeze in post - and I don’t want them all the time. So I bought a modified vintage Helios for the same bokeh and flare at half the price and a LOT of character. Not for everything but a must have. But….
