I'm extremely honoured to be selected as a mentee for the Diaspora Dialogues' Long-Form mentorship program. The long-form mentorship program matches mentees with established Canadian authors to work together for six months on a full-length manuscript. Thank you DD for this amazing opportunity!

An amazing discovery in my trip to HK & China is that my parents have been living close to the school that Bruce Lee went to. One of Bruce Lee's sayings that I think is particularly relevant to the art of writing: "Absorb what is useful, discard what is not, add what is uniquely your own."

On Tuesday night, I applauded Sheung-King as he walked up the stage to receive the Atwood Gibson Writers' Trust Fiction Prize. The very next day, by pure coincidence, I saw him on the same flight as me to HK. Super happy to congratulate him in person on winning the best Canadian novel of the year!
