We like using a level to verify. I have one that has exceeded my height, and another that is closing in. :)

Is this some kind of fan-interaction stunt, where the team encourages fans to project whatever they want onto the players on the field? If not, they might consider that.

We didn't end up using it in the book, but I always enjoyed this image:

Ah, sure. Yeah, I definitely get that. Ed and co were certainly very actively political, sometimes to the detriment of their careers. They walked the walk for sure. :)

And... the reply is in: "A bunch of the Clarke/Rubin footage has been found.  It’s in the hands of Chuck Smith with whom i am making a film on the Fugs.  Been working on it over a year."

Their political engagement was definitely what attracted me to them. "CIA Man" and "Kill for Peace" ... so many great songs. And Ed is a lot of fun to chat with. He's a funny, insightful guy.

Interesting. I had a couple conversations with Ed Sanders. Curious if he has any additional information about this.

I was thinking this might be the deal-breaker between the Stones and Beatles. The Beatles definitely continued to and the Stones were less progressive/inventive (at least in comparison). Definitely continued making great music, but not as genre-changing/defining as the Beatles did.

I guess the other interesting category to consider, would be groups that continued to making a lasting impact throughout the duration of their career. Walking that fine line of reinvention, but remaining true to their core.

We also decided the flip side of this coin, are bands like Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr, who had a huge impact with a large creative output and yet remain relatively unknown (at least in contrast to the impact they made).

Ah, definitely agree. Thanks for that. I looked it up, and I guess that's a Death Cab tune. Not that it changes your point.

Oh boy. As a non-lyric person, I guess I haven't noticed. What should I look out for?
