In my Wozzup this morning.

It bears interrogating. The Christian shepherds who have spoken up about the slaughter in #Nigeria's Middle Belt, are they doing so only out of ethnic solidarity?

If the answer is yes, what does it say about us?

It's hard to believe that it's the same quality of political office holder #Nigeria had in Buhari's government that the #UK had with the Tories.

Apparently, according to @suellabravermanmp.bsky.social, #Italy has geographically shifted further right so as to be closer to #Turkiye...

This @wsj.com piece recognises that #Africa has returned to the bad old days. on.wsj.com/4iPMOKG

It also obliquely admits that the violent removal of Gaddafi was an important accelerate for these wars.

Key lesson: Be careful about the monsters you vilify. Worse could follow.

Far better people than me have spoken about the legality (and probity) of #Nigeria's police kidnapping a man over libel. It's plain wrong.

There is also the unintended consequence of the nonagenarian plaintiff inadvertently unearthing buried skeletons, thus certainly tarnishing his legacy...

Every three ọnwa the lie that ndị Igbo don't sell land to non-Igbos resurfaces.

These days all you need is Google to see, for example, Dayo Okunola Street, Enugu, named after the first person to build there.

The real question is: what are they trying to distract us from?

A 10 kobo newspaper in 1975 isn't the issue, inflation is a constant in human existence.

The real issue as far as I'm concerned is, "how the heck have we been unable to solve this petrol scarcity thing since before I was born?"

In short, what problems has #Nigeria solved in the last half-century?

Just landed in my WhatsApp. Since 2015. Basically, #Nigeria's central bank has a trust problem, and it's perhaps because Nigerians don't trust their government to do what is right.

A bit of culture. This is Ese Owie breaking kola at a PDP event for Asue Ighodalo, in Uromi, Edo State, yesterday.

Among the Esan people, when an Edo man is present regardless of age, he assumes primogeniture as a representative of Omo n'Oba n'Edo and breaks the kola.

Last year, the Archbishop of Canterbury broke the speed limit . The #UK government fined and punished him That's how you show seriousness.

Last week, Isa Pantami, a former minister in #Nigeria broke a law he helped pass by contributing towards a ₦60 million ransom...

There's a story about a Russian leader who gave two letters to his successor with instructions to open the first if things got bad...

#Nigeria's version of that story never blames the previous man-in-charge, but always an underling. Hence the drama around Diezani, now Meffy.

Distraction.
