Wow Watanuki seems to be facing kind of a a challenge huh? I agree with you that this is CLAMP trying to show how he will evolve/grow. Is kind of interesting! It reminds me to TRC or Angelic Layer

Indeed! I wonder why they did that? Isn’t better to release a long series when the collection started and everyone is hyped? Maybe it was CLAMP workload at that time?

Finally something that is not region locked! I know copyright can be difficult but CLAMP has so many fans outside Japan that if you limit it is like Madonna releasing an album available in just one country (nonsense!)

Maybe the announcement will be included in the anniversary but not the actual comeback. CLAMP and editors would be really precautious whit it. They know it will get a lot of attention nd is their loved baby after all too

X is huge. They know it will call a lot of attention. They will probably search for the way to get the most profit out of it. I don’t know. I just think that nobody is going to rush to put it back on the timing of a anniversary of a third party.

Even though I hope I am wrong there is something telling me this is not the time X is going to be back: when the series resumes we will probably have an announcement a lot of time ahead (like years ) we even see a new page of it. Like with anime projects nowadays.

The new key visual looks good IMO you can tell they are trying to recreate the art style of the manga.
The old anime will always be special of course but it is nice to have a new project to enjoy. I wonder how the story will be.

I think that the art style from X or Gate 7 is a lot of work for them (or anyone). Is exquisite but there are Too many details everywhere and the burden (workload ) for the human being drawing that must be huge. I don’t think is realistic to think they can do that again whit other series ongoing.

I agree with you that within the last illustrations that were revealed recently their art style fluctuates sooo much. Probably that happened in the past too though. But I always had the impression they will go through every “era” (art style) in a way that was more easy to differentiate.

Yuuko’s dress also looks really different. But I think that has to be with the style of the illustration that has a children’s book vibe. Even the roses on the background look really children’s book like. The King and the princess are a common combination on children’s books

About the Clover illustration. The inking is sooo different from other covers. I do hope they are changing their art style but is also possible that they just wanted to make Clover CPC covers look really different and that’s it. Anatomical proportions doesn’t seem too far away from clear Card IMO

Btw what is that you find odd in the Akiho illustration? I think their art went down in the latest clear card chapters but I don’t see much notice much in that illustration. Maybe is because I am not an artist and don’t have much of an eye

I agree with you those art were not the greatest. I mean they always do a great work but we have followed their work for so many years now that we became so demanding and exacting towards their art and stories.
