Wait? Not liking Jar Jar is racist?

Are there jimmies involved?

Make clearer in the post that this is false.

We need to get Warren and Markey on the record. Pretty sure they are strongly opposed to this bullshit, but they could definitely lead the charge on driving out Schumer.

Tell Schumer to step aside.

As a fellow Chuck, I’m here for all of them. He deserves every last one of them.

We saw it last year. It was pretty fun.

Ossoff did vote no.

Thank you, Senator!

She’s pretty terrific.

Primaries for every Dem who voted for this.

Sacrificing the ACA and not getting ANY concessions is the issue. National Indivisible is fuming right now.

Trying to remember the last time the New York Times got something right about US politics.

Same here. Best case is that a bunch of the Cave Caucus retire or face primaries. The House is actually holding its caucus together, which shows they know where the base is on this.

Makes me wonder if Schumer has a different definition of victory than his constituents.
November 9, 2025 at 11:45 PM
Yeah, I should probably call, but I'm pretty confident both of them would be on the correct side here. I would not be as confident about a Senator Moulton.

I probably was a little unfair in my original post. Having poll greeted in one of the swingiest districts in NC, I’m well aware of the wannabe GI Joes who try to intimidate voters. Agree completely that they’ll be out in force in 2026.

I think it’s much less likely to come from the military, where service members may actually oppose these actions, and more likely to come from unofficial groups like militias. But I’m still skeptical of the scale required here.

And a Senate election in NC might be close but the Congressional races may or may not be. I’m not naive about voter intimidation—I saw it all the time in NC—but this is a whole different level.
