When u live in a Canadian border town, u try to keep a small stash of U.S. currency on hand for those impromptu, last minute border runs for shopping or entertainment.
In Niagara we called it ‘crossing the ditch’ bc it was no big deal.
Sadly, my little stash gets converted to Canadian funds today.
