This is true. When work was on lockdown earlier this week because of a possible active shooter, some people went back to work or just fiddled on their phone. Meanwhile, I was perceived as “freaking out” because I intermittently kept watch from a secure location after I locked the doors.

Just unlocked a memory: My mom forcing me to walk up a watchtower in West Virginia when I was 8 even though I was afraid of heights. Reference picture is not the one we climbed as I doubt I was in any condition to want to take photos for any to exist from our trip.

I used to like to make handmade gifts for all of the kids in my life: my friend’s kids, my cousins, nieces, nephews, and my own kids… I sort of stopped as life got stressful, but I miss doing that. I just recovered some old photos a lot of memories that I’d forgotten.
