Ended up messing around with a different process with this one.
1. V Rough sketch.
2. Clean lines.
3. Value painting.
4. Gradient maps applied to create general palette.
5. Colorize with soft light/color layers.
6. Paintover to paint out lines and refine rendering.

The one they called.... the Namazu of Light

Look I'm not saying FF14 would be way better if the WoL was a Namazu (it would). What I AM saying is that there's no reason they couldn't be one.
