It has always been a US strategy to try and destroy Latin American democracy. It's a famous imperialist tactic. Extractivism and intentionally creating immigrant labor has always been too profitable. Now, that labor is pushed to its limit in concentration campus

The grant cancellations are damaging the scientific enterprise at institutions in both red and blue states.

WA has been hit hardest by the grant terminations, relative to how much NIH funding it typically receives in a year, with NC as a close second.

NY is hard hit too, because of Columbia.

My parent sent this article to me knowing that I had spent a good time over the summer delving into an analysis of Cabaret. However, it is frustrating finding an article of this variety in a publication like the New York Times which is known for manufacturing consent for genocide.
