Tokyo Godfathers was restored in 4K with a filmout.
Paprika had an ai upscale + HDR grade supervised by people who originally worked on the film and an atmos track. There's a supplement from the 4KBD about these endeavors that's been uploaded online.

Plenty of films with a scope aspect ratio get shown on Imax screens, so I don't see how it wouldn't work for the original version. If the restoration is done correctly, it should look good in any proper projection. Disney is rich af and will easily make profit from this, so there's no money issue.

That specific release is OOP, but the disc is still in print. It's in their "David Lynch - Origins" set.

Two things wrong here, this a poster, not a lobby card.
Second, this one is Belgian, not French, we can see this because it has been modified by the Minerva Cinema in De Panne with their name on top + the showing dates being in both French and Dutch. However idk if the untouched original is French.

I was thinking The Longest Day 4k for a second, but then I remembered you don't deal with these kinds of films :|.
