Anyways, this was very convenient because up to that point we only had male Koygua.

But since I found the origin of the portrait I could find another miniature from the same collection and, as such, in the same art style.

So our friend here the "Koygua" could finally find a wife.

At any rate, years went by and eventually I found out the portrait of the Koygua came, out of all places, from a military miniature collection about El Alamo.

Before the definitive edition the art style of the game did bear a lot of similarities with Military Miniatures, I kinda miss that.

This, of course it's meant to evoke the War of the Triple Alliance. IE the largest conflict the continent's ever seen.

Back then this idea that Paraguay was an industrial powerhouse before the British knocked them down during the war was a popular notion, and we ran with it and turned it to eleven.

Anyways, years passed, mod became bigger, we got better at research and we kinda just figured out the word, well, Koygua.

Basically it means farmer. Although it also is used as a synonym for shy. Paraguay was and is still a rather isolated country that's not very interested in seeing visitors.

Right at the start of the mod. They were called Villeros.

I wasn't involved in the development yet, but I already knew something was... off.

So I suddenly felt like telling anecdotes from the cursed mod I spent 10 years of my life on-

For example, the Paraguayan villagers, the Koyguas, AKA these fellas you see here.

Went manic yesterday and remembered I bought a bunch of stuff last year I never unpacked.

Had so many art prints collecting dust in my closet.

Haven't had as many chileans as I've had argentineans testing my little mod so it took a while for people to find out about my cheeky easter egg...
