First thing I had to do was load Debug++ onto my @debugmag.com mobile app prototype.

Replaced the spawner buttons with a Drag-n-Drop system. Was able to remove 5 objects with a much more maintainable and interactive process.

Made a first iteration mana + mana regen system. Now units cost per summon as well.

I only had 30 minutes to work on this today, so it ain’t much, but it’s an honest feature 😅

Here is a preview of Character Creation, coming to #ToTheTrenches!

Over 3.1 million different feature combinations and 2500 randomly generated names for each faction to choose from!
(You’ll also be able to give custom names if you’d like 😎)

I think I can end the week happy with the VFX added for vehicles in #ToTheTrenches.

I just wrapped today up by adding tread marks on the battlefield to give that extra level of detail.

Spent a majority of the day learning about Spatial Audio Emissions and Particle Systems in @gamemaker.io .

I feel like it's been extremely helpful learning day as I am now able to greatly enhance the immersion within #ToTheTrenches

As a #Godot Junior 👶 I was extremely proud to create a working #Football team system. I found myself with 10 scenes, each with 5 nodes with the only difference being attribute values.

Today, after applying inheritance I was able to significantly clean up the project.

Added some camera effects to really bring out the depth of the stadium.
Found out earlier that I needed to import my 3D assets uncompressed, or else everything looks completely off.

Can't wait to continue dialing in the atmospheric elements.

Implemented a stadium into the game. While there are some scaling and texture issues, it's much nicer to see than a green plane.

My first attempt at creating route lines in #Godot.

I have a scene for the specific Offensive play that has several Node3D nodes for each route-runner. Within those nodes I have a Path3D and CSGPolygon3D node that draws the route.

Not sure if its efficient, but it's definitely a start!

Implemented the Phantom Camera plugin into my #Godot project.
I've set it to stay with the football. This also allowed me to start playing with different camera angles to dial in what I think will work best for this game.

I ain't much but it's honest #GameDev

Started the process of making a functional field with yardage and a line of scrimmage.
Not only that, formations are finally connected with the line of scrimmage for proper positioning between offense and defense.

We have quite a bit of work to do to get #ToTheTrenches ready for a PC launch, but it's pretty cool to see the game on a 49" monitor.
Next step would be to have the camera span the entire battlefield on ultra-wide monitors. Will post updates on that soon!
