We found that the B. fragilis sialidase, NanH, is important in HMO metabolism, as well as persistence in the gut during early life and adulthood. Led by Katya Buzun, together with a huge team effort by many in our lab, this was a fun collaboration with Lars Bode and his group. #MicroSky
